Living with pain is challenging- making it difficult to sleep, work and enjoy life. Pain is an experience we all have. It is an unpleasant feeling, but an important alarm system. Because it is unpleasant, it encourages us to do the right thing to protect us. However, living with chronic or persistent pain is much less helpful, and in fact, may be the main problem itself.

Avenues Physio-Fitness subcontracts through Active+ to lead the ACC-funded pain management and rehabilitation service. This involves a team approach and a programme tailored to suit your individual needs. With the help of our team who have expertise in pain management, the aim is to allow you to improve the ways you manage your pain – whether this is longstanding or new – and get back to your normal life activities as soon as possible.
